Experience

Litigation and Dispute Resolution

  • Advising on a broad range of civil and criminal work covering commercial disputes, tort related matters, including defamation and professional negligence.
  • Acting for legally aided persons in a wide range of criminal matters including application for Writ of Habeas Corpus in the Court of First Instance, appeals in the Court of First Instance and the Court of Appeal.
  • Advising individuals and corporate clients on investigations by law enforcement agents and appearing for them in Court hearings.
  • Representing clients for conducting plea in mitigations in open court.

Insurance

  • Advising insurance companies in disputes involving construction of policy terms and conditions.
  • Advising and representing insurance companies in defending employees’ compensation, personal injury and insurance related litigations.

Matrimonial

  • Advising and acting for clients in complex cases involving huge family assets located in various jurisdictions and attending private financial dispute resolution presiding by a retired High Court Judge.
  • Acting for client in application for committal to prison for contempt of Court.
  • Representing clients in family mediations.

  • Advising and acting for a group of retired firemen in Judicial Review Applications regarding their entitlement to public housing upon retirement.
  • Acting for and advising Statutory Licensing Board on a broad range of matters covering vetting of applications for licence, statutory interpretation, reviewing draft agreements and providing on-the-spot legal advice in open meetings.
