Gallant Commencing Strategic Cooperation with Ningbo International Legal Services Center in Hong Kong

On 26 May 2024, Ningbo International Legal Service Center (“NILSC”) entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Gallant in Hong Kong for the purpose of facilitating foreign-related legal service channels and enquiries to the Ningbo enterprises. Lawyers from Ningbo Lawyers Association (“NLA”), Jiaxing Lawyers Association, Zhoushan Lawyers Association, and Gallant witnessed the ceremony.

NILSC, established by the NLA, aims to build an open one-stop platform for foreign-related legal services to the Ningbo enterprises and their lawyers. Mr Wang Junwei, Vice President of the NLA and Executive Director of the NILSC, mentioned that the NILSC will focus on integrating foreign-related legal resources for the legal needs of Ningbo enterprises in international commerce, global economic cooperation, maritime affairs and business.

Mr Xu Lihua, President of NLA and Director of the NILSC, and Mr Philip Wong, Managing Partner of Gallant, signed the cooperation agreement and took a photo together to mark this significant occasion. Mr Xu expressed his heartfelt hope that Gallant, a well-established and notable full service independent local law firm, will play its part as the strategic base for cross-border legal services of the NILSC in Hong Kong, further connecting the NILSC to the world and enhancing daily communication and exchange of valuable legal expertise among all parties, strengthening business cooperation.

During the exchange session, Mr Philip Wong and our lawyers provided detailed sharing of the recent overview of Hong Kong's legal market and the related opportunities of interest in Mainland China. Topics included litigation and dispute resolution, cross-border enforcement, international arbitration and capital market etc. In order to meet the demands of China's ‘going out’ and achieve the strategic objective of China's internationalization, both agreed to seize the opportunities and offering high-quality and efficient cross-border legal services to the Chinese enterprises.
