Meritas, a premier global alliance of independent law firms with more than 180 members worldwide, reinforces its collaborative network through annual regional meetings. This September, the Meritas 2025 Asia Regional Meeting was successfully convened in Shanghai.

The event drew participation from a wide array of leading law firms across the Asia-Pacific region, including those from Mainland China (Beijing, Shanghai), Hong Kong, Australia, India, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka.

Our firm was represented at the meeting by Managing Partner, Mr. Philip Wong, who also serves as a Director on the Meritas Global Board of Directors, and Commercial Partner, Ms. Claudia Kwok. During the conference, Mr. Wong provided valuable insights to clients and fellow attendees on the latest developments and emerging opportunities in Hong Kong. His presentation covered key areas such as capital markets and listing compliance, the regulatory landscape for stablecoins and virtual assets, as well as opportunities in trusts and family office services.
